Brighton Digital Festival 2026
A month-long, community-driven grassroots festival celebrating digital arts, technology, and culture held throughout September. Brighton Digital Festival operates on an open-programme model where anyone can independently organise an event and submit it to the festival programme. The festival brings together diverse sections of Brighton's population as creators, audiences, and participants to explore and experience digital technology in all its forms.
Events range from hackathons and workshops to art exhibitions, conferences, meet-ups, performances, and interactive installations, showcasing the richness and variety of the city's creative and digital communities. The programme is augmented by an arts and education strand programmed by the festival team through open calls and curated commissions. BDF celebrates the city's innovative digital economy and creative industries while providing meaningful critique of the role of digital technology in reshaping life and culture.
The festival attracts thousands of attendees across 150+ independent events reflecting diverse interests from interactive art to practical tech sessions.
